My Top Healing Tips
September 21, 2016

Aloha!
Happy EQUINOX!
Tomorrow, Thursday September 22, marks the official first day of Fall!
Can you feel the crispness in the air?!
It’s been an interesting week for me as last Wednesday I got sick with what seemed like some kind of bug. Fever, chills, nausea...da kine. After 2 days of rest, I was feeling almost back to normal...until that little bugger hit again (he tricked me to thinking he’d already gone) and left me cleansing him out again all weekend.
Despite the discomfort of being sick, I leveraged my body’s natural healing powers to fight this illness. Here’s just a few of my top healing tips, below.
*Please note that I am not a doctor, and this information is not meant as medical advice.
It’s simply my personal experience :0)
1. SLEEP!
Once I was not feeling well and therefore cleared my schedule and made it back home, I knew I had to sleep, and sleep and sleep. Sleep is the ultimate healer, an awesome, free healing elixir that many “busy” people don’t take advantage of. The natural supplement melatonin can help you fall into a deep sleep if you don’t fall asleep easily...
2. GARLIC-GINGER TEA
While perhaps not the most tasty of concoctions, sipping on garlic-ginger tea is really helpful due to it’s anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory qualities. Simply chop up fresh garlic and ginger, and simmer in a pot of water for 20 minutes.
3. WET-SOCKS TRICK!
Maybe ya’ll know this one already, but it’s a good one. If you haven’t heard of this, don’t take my word for it, google it :0)
For a fever: Wet a pair of socks in ice-cold water, wring them out, and place them on your feet. Cover the wet socks with dry wool socks. Then go to sleep for the night, and when you wake up, both pairs of socks will be dry. Your immune system will have really kicked in through this process, and your fever will soon be down.
Other healing tools I took advantage of were bentonite clay capsules, activated charcoal capsules (especially good for stomach issues), chewing cloves (helps with nausea and diarrea), essential oils on the bottom of my feet and stomach, and prayer!
Wishing you a very healthy, very happy first day of AUTUMN!!!
Aloha,
Courtney
