It seems like it’s been a while since we’ve connected – I’ve been in NYC the last 10 days, ceaselessly sorting out through my life-long collection of “stuff” that literally left me feeling like this project was going to be never-ending. I got so engulfed in it that I missed last weeks newsletter :-0
Although I’ve only lived in NYC off-and-on over the past decade, in between living in Pittsburgh, Indiana, Paris, Singapore, Thailand, India, the Caribbean, and Hawaii, my parents’ huge apartment has been my never-changing, always welcoming, “permament address” where all my stuff gets stored. This is all about to change as my parents move from NYC to Cali after living here forever and ever.
Anyways, I am VERY excited to share with you what I did under the last Full Moon!!!
On a beautiful summer night in Hawaii, five RammDance company members, one videographer, and I met on the beach and watched as the full moon rose from the ocean. And then we danced...and danced and danced into the night. It was truly a magical experience and one that I will never forget.
We captured my new dance piece, “Haniel: Song to the Moon” on camera, and my creative outlet over the past week has been editing this video to create a “Dance on Camera” version of my piece, which you can see by clicking below!
Please watch until the end as there is an important message/theme revealed at the end.
I would love your feedback on my video-creation, so feel free to leave a comment here or under the video after watching!
